I John 1:5-10
2. The Lord assures, protects and transforms the humble with His faithful love (vss. 6-9).
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. - II Timothy 3:16–17(ESV)
2. There is unique, profound comfort in being forgiven(vss. 10-11).
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.- Matthew 6:11–15(ESV)
