1. There is unique, profound comfort in being forgiven (vss. 1-2).

1. Hiding from sin brings misery, but repentance leads to restoration of relationship (vss. 3-5).

2. The Lord assures, protects and transforms the humble with His faithful love (vss. 6-9).

2. There is unique, profound comfort in being forgiven(vss. 10-11).

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.- Matthew 6:11–15(ESV)
