The Marriage Supper of the Lamb: A Vision for the Church

Revelation 19:6-10

And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”  Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become on - Genesis 2:22–25(ESV)

Genesis 2-3; Song of Solomon; Ezekiel 16; Hosea; Matthew 22; Ephesians 5; Revelation 19, 21-22

On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”  - Isaiah 25:6–9(ESV)

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh - Ephesians 5:31–32(ESV)

1. We need not be afraid. Jesus will vanquish all evil (vs.6).

2. We may expect satisfaction. Jesus will keep all of His promises (vss. 7-8).h.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. e flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

3. We must live for something larger than ourselves. Jesus will use us to make His Good News known (vss. 9-10).
