Luke 24 - The plot of the Biblical story, indeed the trajectory of human history, was the revelation and provision of God’s promised redeemer who would conquer sin and death. Jesus is that redeemer and is the hope of the world.
Because of the fall, humanity has become self-righteous and has south to self-justify.
1. The woman at ten tomb (1-12). Our morning is turned into joy. Sin and death will not have the final word.
2. The disciples on the road to Emmaus (13-35). Our unmet and nagging longings are exceedingly fulfilled. Jesus alone is what and who we need.
3. The disciples in Jerusalem (36-49). Or fears and disillusionment are erased. Jesus will always keep His promises and they'll surpass our half-hearted desires.
4. Jesus's ascension (50-53). Our separation is replaced with union and expectation. We are not alone and one day He will return to renew all things.
